Alison Greer is a dressmaker with over 25 years experience and has been sharing her knowledge as a dressmaking tutor since 2015.
Graduating with a degree in Fashion in 1999, Alison has spent years designing, sewing and dressmaking, honing her skills through bespoke dressmaking for a range of clients.
Alison started teaching monthly workshops and the classes and interest have been growing ever since. Her friendly and welcoming classes have built a loyal following, enjoying Alison’s easy to understand teaching style and patient manner, their skills have grown too.
It is her mission to reach, inspire and empower as many people as possible to learn to sew their own clothes and to teach them the skills to make them better dressmakers.
Alison teaches from her studio in Bawtry and from StraightCurves in Chesterfield and lives on the Nottinghamshire/South Yorkshire border with her partner; Gary, stepson; Jack and two rescue rabbits and Misty Mina the cat.
