This is new to all of us… having never lived through something such as this we are all having to adapt to survive.
If you are spending more time than usual at home, then it’s an ideal opportunity to do some sewing and dressmaking.
I’m here to help enable you to keep sewing. As always, I’m available on my Facebook page, Facebook group and by replying to this email. Actually, you’ll probably see a bit more of me online as I offer more virtual options for learning to sew.
You might have seen my first Virtual Tuesday Sewcial last night? If not, you can view it here and you can look out for the next Virtual Tuesday Sewcial on Tuesday 24th March – more details coming soon.
*** Edit 23rd March 2020 ***
I’ve tried to hold out as long as I could, but I’m afraid the time has come to stop all face to face lessons with immediate effect. Our health must be our number one priority as a nation right now.
I am keeping a note of all missed lesson and will reschedule once we can.
My Bawtry classes are running at the minute, classes are small and I have enhanced hygiene precautions in place. However, if you are booked on any classes, I will be contacting you directly and should you not be happy to attend, we will endeavour to reschedule once normality returns.
If you are symptomatic, live with someone who is, or are in an “at risk” category, please do not attend any lessons, but get in touch and let me know and we will reschedule.
For anyone who is stuck at home or stuck with their dressmaking, I am offering 5 free 30 minute Learn to Sew by Skype lessons, where I can assist you with your sewing.
I’m also offering a special “Pandemic Price” for one to one lessons… usually to get my best value for money one to one lessons you have to book a block of 10 hours for £250.
At the minute, whether you book one hour or 10 hours the price for one to one lessons will be £25 per hour.
You can even book 180 days in the future, so you can take advantage of the Pandemic Price even if you are self-isolating right now.
I, like many others who are self-employed, am concerned about the financial impact of this situation. As many of you will be aware Bagladybird is not a lifestyle business, it is my sole source of income and I hope that the additional services I am offering during this period will help to see me through this uncertain time.
Understandably many people are nervous of committing to classes that they may not be able to attend. I sell a range of Gift Vouchers available to purchase online, to redeem on courses, workshops and 1:1 lessons and valid for 12 months.
If you are thinking of attending in future and are in a position to be able to do so, please consider purchasing Gift Vouchers now to use in the future.
Having said all that, I feel this time has been gifted to me. A fantastic opportunity for me to get creative again and work on all the exciting projects that have been buzzing away in my brain. I am building a new website, and designing, creating and planning my pattern range, which has always been one of my business aims.
So watch this space, I’ll be needing pattern testers soon!
Please feel free to reach out to me if you need me,
Love & stitches,
